26th July 2014 | KLûK CGDT will create six limited edition ‘made to order collections’ with Vlisco, in the coming year, which will appeal to the sophisticated South African consumer. They will be one of the first designers worldwide to launch the new FANTASIA collection of Vlisco fabrics, at their new store launch.

The KLûK CGDT brand is well known for its sophisticated designs and uncompromising standards in service and quality. Malcolm Kluk and Christiaan Gabriël Du Toit are the creative force behind KLûK CGDT. For Malcolm and Christiaan their label represents the culmination of two designers’ passion and their vision of bringing South Africans an international fashion experience.


“We are proud to partner with Vlisco and were inspired by the brand’s rich heritage, bold prints and interesting stories. This season we are using the latest collection designs from Vlisco called “Fantasia”, which will be launched internationally simultaneously with our collection, says Malcolm Klûk.

They will also offer fabrics for a bespoke range whereby the customer can choose a silhouette to be made in the fabric of their choice. “We’re excited to say that the Vlisco shop-in-shop will be a permanent feature in our new store” says Malcolm Klûk. “We approached Holland based brand Vlisco to work with us for this and future collections. They have over 160 years of history designing prints which are entwined in African culture and its fashion landscape. Each print and design tells its very own story. Usually synonymous with West Africa, we loved the idea of using their fabric for our collection, styling it to appeal to the sophisticated South African consumer. We always like to align ourselves with luxury African products and even more so with Vlisco. Print is a major trend at the moment and for the next few seasons we will incorporate different Vlisco prints into our collections.”
